Color theory doesn’t have to feel intimidating.

Our Colors Course is a foundational art class designed for all ages, whether your child is just discovering red and blue make purple, or your tween is ready to explore mood, contrast, and harmony.
This course is more than mixing paints.
It’s about seeing color everywhere.
It’s about understanding how artists communicate with color, and how your children can too.
What’s Inside the Colors Course?
Each lesson is short, open-and-go, and built with flexibility in mind. You can use it as a weekly anchor, a rainy day refresh, or as part of your art block.
Inside the course, your family will explore:
- Primary + Secondary Colors (and how to mix them with confidence)
- Color Wheel Basics
- Warm vs. Cool Colors (and why they matter)
- Complementary Colors (with hands-on, visual projects)
- Tints and Shades (hello, value studies!)
Each project is rooted in creativity and encourages your kids to experiment without pressure or perfectionism.

Understanding color helps kids:

How to Use the Course
There’s no one right way to use the Colors Course, but we do have some ideas:

- Connect it to artist studies by analyzing how Van Gogh or Matisse used color
- Use it as a reset button on off days when everyone needs a little win
