Use this unit study your way because there’s truly no “right” order! Here are a few easy ideas to get you started:
- Pick 1–2 elements from the study per day. No need to do it all at once. Follow your child’s curiosity!
- Add a few read-alouds from the book list to your morning basket or teatime routine.
- Start with the watercolor tutorials, it’s a calming way to ease into the day. You’ll find templates for each card inside the study packet.
- Use the poems as copywork practice to improve memory and handwriting.
- End your week with a recipe as a family celebration of what you’ve learned.
Bonus tip: Let your kids help choose the day’s activity—ownership builds excitement and connection.
For these projects you’ll need a few simple supplies: watercolor paper, watercolors, a jar of water, and paintbrushes.
